This page explains what personal data Bitcoin Skool collects, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. If anything here is unclear, email us at [email protected].

Who we are

Bitcoin Skool (bitcoinskool.eu) is run by Aidan Davey, an independent educator based in Bulgaria. Aidan is the “controller” of your personal data, which means he decides how it’s used and is responsible for looking after it.

If you have any questions about this policy or your data, email us at [email protected].

What we collect

We only collect what we need. That means:

  • Your first name and email address, when you sign up for something free like the Money IQ Test.
  • A record of your consent: when you gave it and what you agreed to.
  • Basic information about how you interact with our emails, such as whether you opened one or clicked a link.
  • Anything you choose to send us, for example through our contact form or by replying to an email.
  • Basic technical information when you visit our website, such as your browser type and the pages you view. Some of this is collected using cookies (see below).

If you become a paying member, your account and payment details are handled by Skool, the platform that hosts our membership community. We don’t see or store your card details.

Why we use it

We use your information to:

  • Send you the free resource you asked for.
  • Send you emails about money, Bitcoin and Bitcoin Skool, including occasional offers. We only do this with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Give you access to the membership and support you as a member, if you join.
  • Reply to you when you get in touch.
  • Keep our website secure and understand, in general terms, how it’s being used.

The legal basis for our marketing emails is your consent. For membership, it’s the contract between us. For website security and basic usage stats, it’s our legitimate interest in running a safe, working website.

We never sell your data, and we never share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted services to run Bitcoin Skool. They only process your data on our behalf and under our instructions:

  • GoHighLevel (LeadConnector): hosts our website, sign-up forms and email list, and sends our emails.
  • Skool: hosts our membership community and processes membership payments.
  • Google Workspace: our business email.

Some of these providers are based in, or store data in, the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, it’s protected by recognised safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

We may also disclose information if we’re legally required to.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as you’re subscribed to our emails or are a member. If you unsubscribe, we’ll stop emailing you straight away. We may keep a minimal record that you unsubscribed so we don’t accidentally email you again. If you haven’t opened any of our emails for a long time, we may remove you from our list.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct anything that’s wrong.
  • Ask us to delete your data.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, for example by clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of any email.
  • Object to or ask us to limit how we use your data.
  • Ask for your data in a format you can take elsewhere.

To do any of these, email [email protected]. We’ll reply within one month. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live.

Cookies

Our website uses a small number of cookies. Some are needed for the site and forms to work. Others help us understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work properly without them.

Changes to this policy

If we make important changes to this policy, we’ll update the date at the top and, where it makes sense, let you know by email.
